History
In 1990, five Kindergarten teachers (Linda Reed, Amy Noble, Sheryl Jaggers, Sharon Burnett and Debra Wood) embarked on a journey to start a business based on materials they had created for use in their own classrooms in Crandall, Texas. The business began with selling supplemental materials that taught the alphabet using music (on cassette tapes). This was the first generation of “Sing & Read”, a program that has expanded to over 500 products and is widely used in schools across the country today. Building on the foundation of the success of alphabet and music, “Sing & Read” Math and Spanish Literacy have been welcomed into many classrooms with the same warmth and successful feeling. There have been many additions to the FSP product line over the years, with the most recent being Step Up, a program designed to uniquely address the needs of the current Pre-K guidelines. These educational products and services continue to help educators provide a foundation for emergent language and literacy. These research-based materials allow children to master the skills needed for success in reading, writing, math and additional curriculum areas. Three of the founders (Sharon Burnett, Amy Noble and Debra Wood) are still involved with the Company and play significant roles.
In 2006, Ron Chase joined the company as CEO and continues to lead the company into the future with the same desire to impact the future of young children by providing educators with high quality materials and excellent service.
